Arcade Fire — Funeral

The imagery was for Funeral was inspired by the themes of the album. Exploring death, loss and love, I researched Victorian Era illustraton and paper ephemera, namely Valentine’s Day cards, birth and death certificates. The final artwork was painted and silscreen printed on wood. Ten years later was commissioned to create a mural for the 10 year anniversary of the album release in the Williamsburg neighbourhood of Brooklyn at North 10th and Driggs, a nod to Funeral‘s original September 14th, 2004 release date.
